Índia@Portugal database (“India at Portugal”) is part of the exploratory research project The Portuguese Representations of India: Power and Knowledge in a Peripheral Orientalism (XIX and XX centuries), developed by Everton V. Machado in the Centre for Comparative Studies of the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon. The project is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology of Portugal (IF/01452/2013) and has started in 2013 with its end scheduled for 2018. This database consists of an online bibliography of literature in Portuguese language on India (available in Portugal), in a range of themes and areas. It includes texts from the publication of Camões (1825), by Almeida Garrett, until Goa’s integration into the Indian Union (1861).
