Biographical note
Cátia Sever graduated in Portuguese Studies (2004, Modern Language and Literature) from the University of Lisbon and holds a master’s degree in Romanic Studies (Paris IV – Sorbonne) about the Rodrigues Miguéis novel O milagre segundo Salomé. She worked in France (Paris X-Nanterre and Paris IV-Sorbonne) as a Portuguese lecturer, teaching language and literature. Currently she is developing a PhD thesis (University of Lisbon), proposing an updated reading of Rodrigues Miguéis texts, through the study of several autobiographical elements. Her research interests focus on the self-representative dimension of contemporary artistic production, in the Portuguese literature of the twentieth century and on the intersections between autobiography, autofiction and fictionality.
