Description

Textualities and all its subprojects have educational purposes: the study of literary forms of autobiographical literature; survey and study of the presence of Portuguese authors in textbooks and syllabi in Portuguese middle and secondary school [ensino básico e secundário] in the 20th century; critical edition of ancient and modern texts.

  • AUTOBIO – Literatura Autobiográfica: Questões teóricas e corpora

This project is developed both through case studies and other activities of individual researchers, such as the publication of essays and the participation in national and international academic events of this field of studies. The volume Autobiografar a crónica. Antologia de crónica autobiográfica portuguesa. Séculos XIX-XXI, selection and introduction by Carina Infante do Carmo is being finished. The project is also present in ongoing academic dissertations and other works. Two Phd and one MA thesis are in progress. A recent MA member is starting the preparation of the second volume of poetry by Irene Lisboa.

The volume was published by Imprensa Nacional/Casa da Moeda in 2017.

  • Literary estate of writer Fernanda Botelho, 1926-2007

This project (supported by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian – Apoio a Projectos de Investigação nos Domínios da Língua e Cultura in 2014-16) is now in the last phase of inventory, catalogue and technical tasks in the Estate Fernanda Botelho. The work in progress addresses correspondence, photographs and other documents. The republishing of the works by the novelist Fernanda Botelho, with critical prefaces, started in 2017, with the publication of Esta noite sonhei com Brueghel (preface by Paula Morão, Abysmo Editions) and a second volume will come out soon. The project is also working with non academic institutions such as Public Libraries, Schools and other entities, such as the ones listed in the portuguese version of this page.
