Biographical note
Antonio Sáez Delgado (PhD, University of Extremadura, 1999) is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Sciences at the University of Evora. Researcher and translator, he has specialized in the literary relations between Spain and Portugal in the first decades of the 20th century, having written several monographs on this domain. As a translator, he was awarded the Giovanni Pontiero Prize in 2008 and has translated into Spanish several authors such as Fernando Pessoa, José Saramago, António Lobo Antunes, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Fialho de Almeida and Manuel António Pina, among others. As a literary critic, he collaborates regularly with Babelia, the cultural supplement of El País newspaper. He is the director of Suroeste, a magazine of Iberian literatures.
