PhD in Literary Studies – specialization in Comparative Literature (University of Lisbon) and professor at the Higher School of Education and Social Sciences (ESECS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP), with experience in teaching in the areas of Portuguese Language and Literature, Literature for Children and Youth, Portuguese Didactics and Pedagogical Supervision, in the training of teachers and early childhood educators. She is the institutional coordinator of the Center of Languages ​​and Cultures of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, coordinator of the degree in Basic Education, sub-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Libraries and Promotion of Reading, and member of several statutory bodies at ESECS-IPP. She has developed research in the areas of Comparative Literature, Literature for Children and Youth, Education for Development, Didactics and Pedagogy, and she is author of several articles in national and international books and magazines and in international scientific meetings at these domains. She has also dynamised workshops in the areas of Literature for Children and Literary Education at the level of teacher education and childhood educators. She is an integrated member of the Interdisciplinary Coordination of Research and Innovation of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre and also of the Center for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon.
