Biographical note

Maria Helena Marques Antunes, Elementary and Secondary School Teacher (2007-2013) and Alliance Française Teacher (since 2005), is currently a French foreign-language assistant at the Department of General and Romance Linguistics at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. She graduated in Modern Languages and Literatures – Portuguese and French Studies, Educational Training Branch (FLUC, 2002),  completed a Master’s Degree in Romance Studies, specializing in French Studies, with a dissertation titled Christine de Pizan: “Construction d’une nouvelle image de la femme”, (FLUL, 2005) and a PhD in Literature and Culture Studies, specializing in Comparative Studies, with the thesis entitled “Modalidades de interlocução na poesia peninsular e francesa do século XV” (ULisboa, 2017). She is particularly interested in medieval French and Iberian literature and in recent years she has mainly developed research in the field of poetry of the fifteenth century. She is part of the ECHO project: Poesia e Poetas do Cancioneiro Geral and has regularly presented partial results of her work, both in international conferences and in specialized publications.
