Biographical note

Laura Fracalanza is a PhD student in the International Programme in Comparative Studies (PhD-Comp) and a FCT doctoral scolarship holder. She holds a Master’s degree in Modern, Comparative and Post-Colonial Literatures from the University of Bologna (2017). Her M.A. thesis focused on the reception of the Theatre of the Oppressed in Palestine. Her current research focuses on the artistic representation of violence in contexts of political marginalization, specifically in Brazilian peripheries and in Palestine. She is a member in training of the Centre for Comparative Studies.
