Cristina Almeida Ribeiro, full professor at the University of Lisbon, is affiliated to the Department of Romance Literatures, where she teaches mainly French and Hispanic Literatures, and to the Centre for Comparative Studies, where she leads the project ECHO: Poetry and Poets of the Cancioneiro Geral, belongs to the research team of the project Comparative World Literature and is currently the coordinator of group MORPHE. Having written about Portuguese, French, Spanish and Spanish American authors, and occasionally about translation topics or cases, her main research interests lie, at present, in late medieval and early modern poetry and in the theories and practices of short fiction, subjects of most of her recent articles and contributions to national and international conferences. She has been a collaborator of the research group e-LITE – Ediciones y Estudios de Literatura Española (UVigo) since 2015, and, since 2016, a correspondent member of Real Academia Española.
