Biographical note
Born in Lisbon in 1968, Cristiana Vasconcelos Rodrigues teaches German literature and culture as well as and Comparative Literature at the Universidade Aberta since 1998. Graduated in English and German Literary Studies (1990), she has been dedicating her research studies to comparative literature, specifically on what regards the Portuguese and German study fields. Her Masters Degree (1997) focuses on the Portuguese poet António Patrício and the Austrian poet Hugo von Hofmannsthal and her PhD (2006) on the presence of the philosopher Baruch d’Espinoza and the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin in the works of the Portuguese contemporary writer Maria Gabriela Llansol. Cristiana Vasconcelos Rodrigues is a founding member of the Espaço Llansol Association (https://espacollansol.blogspot.com/), where Maria Gabriela Llansol’s literary estate is archived since the author’s death in 2008.
