ELiCa – European Literary Canon

ELICA Coordination: Helena Buescu and Maria Graciete Silva

ELiCa (University and School for a European Literary Canon):

Defending the priority of a “European Literary Canon” in the construction of a “Europe of peoples” culturally sustained, ELiCa joins universities and secondary schools around the promotion of a literary debate which, in itself, opens boundaries, in its intention of reaching a broader public opinion, European and eventually not European. To understand and test how to go beyond national paradigms in order to relate them in a complementary and prospective activation of European literary memory, both in research and in teaching practice, is, then, the main objective of this project with Italian coordination, in the context of a European partnership including the following institutions: Università “La Sapienza” (Roma), CIID (Cooperativa Insegnanti di Iniziativa Democratica), Universitatea din Bucureşti, Universität zu Kiel, Centro de Estudos Comparatistas (FLUL), Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, Language Service Centre (Giessen).

This work is financed by national funds through the FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P., within the scope of the project UIDB/00509/2020 and UIDP/00509/2020.
