Biographical note:
Patricia Couto was born in Amsterdam, studied Germanic Philology in Coimbra (FLUC 1975) and holds an MA in Comparative Literature (FLUL 1996) and a PhD in Translation Studies (FLUL 2012). She has taught Dutch Language and Culture at the University of Lisbon and has translated Dutch authors such as Jan Slauerhoff, Gerrit Komrij, Cees Nooteboom and Etty Hillesum
