Graduated in English and German Literary Studies (1990), she has been dedicating her research studies to comparative literature, specifically on what regards the Portuguese and German study fields. Her Masters Degree (1997) focuses on the Portuguese poet Ant\u00f3nio Patr\u00edcio and the Austrian poet Hugo von Hofmannsthal and her PhD (2006) on the presence of the philosopher Baruch d&#8217;Espinoza and the German poet Friedrich H\u00f6lderlin in the works of the Portuguese contemporary writer Maria Gabriela Llansol.
