Researcher and translator, he has specialized in the literary relations between Spain and Portugal in the first decades of the 20th century, having written several monographs on this domain. As a translator, he was awarded the Giovanni Pontiero Prize in 2008 and has translated into Spanish several authors such as Fernando Pessoa, Jos\u00e9 Saramago, Ant\u00f3nio Lobo Antunes, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Fialho de Almeida and Manuel Ant\u00f3nio Pina, among others. As a literary critic, he collaborates regularly with Babelia, the cultural supplement of\u00a0<em>El Pa\u00eds<\/em>\u00a0newspaper.
