Indexing<\/strong> Textos e Pretextos<\/strong><\/em> is an annual, peer-reviewed inter-arts journal that is published by the Centre for Comparative Studies at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. Its main purpose is to disseminate and stimulate reflection on the work of living Portuguese-language authors and interdisciplinary themes that promote the relationship between literature and other arts. Each issue of T&P includes a wide range of articles featuring topics of immediate interest to an intellectual readership worldwide. \n\u2013 One made up of secondary and higher education level students, teachers, researchers, and early-career practitioners in the artistic areas addressed by the journal (visual arts, theatre, dance, cinema, literature, music);
\n\u2013 And a more urban-oriented audience primarily made up of people formally or informally connected to arts and culture and with acute critical judgment (journalists, musicians, visual artists, actors, art consumers, among others).<\/p>\n
\nThe journal uses double-blind peer review. <\/span><\/span>Articles are submitted in Word format at<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>textosepretextos@gmail.com<\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/span>and acknowledgment of receipt of submission is sent within 1 to 2\u00a0weeks. <\/span><\/span>To ensure authors\u2019 anonymity, the journal\u2019s editorial team is responsible for removing all personal information from the file(s) before sending the article to the peer reviewers.<\/span>
\nFollowing good practices of scholarship, all articles must be original research that do not duplicate previously published work and that are not under review by another journal. When selecting reviewers, the journal\u2019s editorial team makes sure to avoid conflict of interest and that reviewers are independent of the authors (i.e. not affiliated with the same institution). The peer-review process usually takes between 2 to 3 months.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\nAuthors must take full responsibility for the originality of the work submitted and for appropriately quoting any work\u00a0of others used in the text.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
