She had a grant from the FCT (Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia) from November 2003 to October 2004, to do an MA Thesis entitled \u201cOnde o tempo se suspende. Tens\u00e3o entre amor e viol\u00eancia na obra de Verg\u00edlio Ferreira\u201d (\u201cWhere time suspends itself. Tension between Love and Violence in the Work of Verg\u00edlio Ferreira\u201d). She had a short grant from the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Calouste Gulbenkian and another from the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Luso-Americana to study Contemporary Cinema at Brown University (Providence \/ Rhode Island \/ USA) from September to December 2006, as Visiting Scholar. She had a PhD grant in Cultural Studies on \u201cViol\u00eancia e identidade no cinema na passagem do s\u00e9culo XX para o s\u00e9culo XXI\u201d (\u201cViolence and Identity in Cinema from the Late Twentieth Century to 2004\u201d). She had a Post-doctoral Grant in History and Cultural Studies on \u201cCinema e Censura: amor e viol\u00eancia em Portugal e Espanha (1968-1974)\u201d (\u201cCinema and Censorship: love and violence in Portugal and Spain (1968-1974)\u201d).
