Biographical note Inoc\u00eancia Mata has a\u00a0PhD in Letters from the University of Lisbon and post-doctoral studies in Postcolonial Studies (Postcolonial Studies, Identity, Ethnicity, and Globalization, University of California, Berkeley). She is a professor at the School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon in the area of \u00a0Literature, Arts and Culture (LAC). She is currently the Director of the Postgraduate Studies Program in Portuguese as a Foreign & Second Language.\u00a0Member of the Center for Comparative Studies, University of Lisbon, Association for L’\u00c9tude des Literatures Africaines (based in France). AFROLIC-International Association of African Literary and Cultural Studies (S\u00e3o Paulo) and AILP_CSH – International Association for Social and Human Sciences in Portuguese. Founding member of UNEAS – National Union of Writers and Artists of Sao Tome and Principe and Honorary Partner of Angolan Writers Association. Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences – Class of Letters.
