Biographical note

Graduated in Anthropology from Lisbon University Institute, (ISCTE-IUL), in recent  years Ana Cláudia Barrinha has been interested in themes such as life stories, memories, narratives and identities, both in colonial and  postcolonial contexts. Since November of 2016, she has been part of  the exploratory research project team “Narratives of Loss, War and Trauma: Portuguese
cultural memory and the end of empire” (IF/01530/2014), coordinated by Elsa Peralta, in which she has been carrying out research in these areas of interest.
